Club History

St Mirren Football Club Boys Club,

a bit of a mouthful eh?; were founded in 1998 by Friends and Supporters of St Mirren Football Club. We wear the badge with honour!

Times have moved on and Renfrewshire's premier Youth Football Club is going from strength to strength. Season 2007-2008 has seen a decent standard in all competitive and non-competitive games throughout the squads;from the small sided game to the eleven-a-side version; from Under 9's right through to Under 21's.

Its been an above average season in terms of overall play, performance and technique - with the Under 21s winning their League, the Under 16s winning the Copa Marbella as well as the Erskine Tournament and the Under 13s winning the Blackpool Cup.

This might be something to do with our coaches, as many of them have come through our ranks as players - it is to our credit that we encourage former players to be coaches, most of them are not related to our players which again encourages balance in team selection.

Tony Fitzpatrick and Bobbie Dinnie were handing out awards at the Presentation Night and we have several players amongst our squads who are interesting St Mirren FC and enjoying additional coaching with the Love Street coaching staff. Recent interest has come from Hamilton Accies as well as the Old Firm's Lennoxtown and Murray Park Academy's

the FCBC have produced some technically gifted players in recent seasons - probably the best known recent recruit to the professional game being Stephen McGinn of the Buddies and another former FCBC player Ross Harvey of Rangers FC, who recently won his first Scotland Under 19 Cap!

Proof that our young footballers can make the grade! Well done - long may we run!
